In my daily life, I encounter a wide range of events and incidents, both trivial and enjoyable, as well as those that are more significant and impactful. One of the enjoyable aspects of my day-to-day experiences is meeting people through social media, phone calls, and other forms of communication. These interactions not only bring me joy and fulfillment but also play a role in my income generation.
Securing income is a crucial aspect of life for many people, including myself. In order to cover expenses such as rent, utilities, and other necessities, I engage in various forms of work that involve research papers, publications, theses, and other academic endeavors. Living in Africa, specifically in Somalia, has its own set of challenges when it comes to finding suitable income opportunities. This is why I often seek the advice and support of my brother, Abdifitah, who is based in Europe and has valuable insights and guidance to offer.
One of the key aspects of my job is working closely with the IT sales team, completing tasks assigned to me, and liaising with clients, vendors, and suppliers on behalf of the company's managers. I also assist the sales team with negotiations, coordinate with the procurement team for sales orders, and prepare quotations as directed by the Business Development Manager. This role requires attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Despite the challenges and demands of my job, I find joy and satisfaction in being able to contribute to the success of the company and support its growth and development.
